May 20 - Abstract flower

I confess I have my issues with abstract art. I don't have enough knowledge to appreciate it and my brain keeps trying to figure out what am I looking at.
Persistently, I keep trying to photograph a little bit of abstract, playing with color or textures. This way I force myself to explore areas where I know I am not strong, and just push harder to have fun no matter what.
The flowers Mariah gave me will be one month old tomorrow and they are still alive and well in the vase on the table. I got really close this time, with a 100mm fixed macro lens to capture how delicate and how soft is the texture of the flower now.
I decided to treat it as a monochromatic, in a warm, almost sepia like tone.

May 18 - Henry look

Mami and Edison have left us today. A foggy day, dark and cloudy, just as my heart when they leave. Very hard to say goodbye. Next year I will come back home to see them again. Henry meows around the house. I think he misses them too.

May 16 - The cat in the farm

We went to visit a friend in a farm today, a beautiful spring day in Colorado.
The warmer so far, and the sunniest, perfect for visiting.
Randy's cat is called cactus, a female, short hair cat that was very playful and cute. Here she poses looking at me.

MAy 15 - Lasting flowers

Mami set up the picture of the day today. Funny, all I needed was to tell her " I have to find something to take my picture of the day" and in the blink of an eye, she set up the flowers. In week number one here she found strange that I would take a picture a day, and now she reminds me of it. I guess we all get used to things.
