June 30 - Colorful lights

Today my image is color. Night lights.
Today I started a blog 6 months ago. I thought I was going to post one image a week, but I made into 6 months. And it was fun.I learned about commitment, dedication, good will and patience. I never really imagined I was going to go this much into the project, but I made it.
Today is my beloved mom's birthday, across the planet. I called her for her 60th birthday and it was a gift to hear her voice. Colorful art for my beloved mom.

June 29 - Fields of grass

We went for a bike ride after work today. While exploring a new trail, I saw the beauty of the fields of grass, dancing at sunset light. They were like waves in the ocean, moving constantly in a rhythm.

June 28 - Friendly squirrel

I fooled the poor squirrel today. He thought I had food and got really close.
He stood there for a little while, enough for a couple of pictures, and then realized I had no food...

June 25 - Soft Henry

Today I experimented with a filter. I added an old polarizer in front of the lens, put some cooking oil in the filter to create a soft image. An old trick that still works :)

June 24 - T-rex cloud

The clouds were very dark this end of day. I looked through the window and one cloud looked like a mad t-rex dinosaur. Made through the car window, while the stop light was red. The things we see when we are looking...

Today I felt inspired by pink color. Marianne always wears pink, my favorite color, so maybe tomorrow we can match pinks. I photographed my lovely high, hot, pink shoes.

June 20 - Sunset

In the end of this hot, summer day, we went to get ice cream and stopped to see the sunset. Clouds are a luxury we don't have very often on the sky, but today they were showing off.

Tired of a full day of work from 7:30 to 6: 30 I still made myself to eat and go to the gym for one hour. And then I made the picture of light for Lisi. MAde an L, kind of like the ones she does with her own handwriting. L for Lisi. And now I can also say L for Lakers!!! My team won!

I thought of how many good things I have in my life and how lucky I am for all the life I lived so far and made a very simple statement:

June 12 - New picture on the wall

Today we went to have some new images ready for the wall. WE, photographers, get tired of seeing our own images over and over. So we made a few new ones to replace on the walls. This one was a new one Ethan took in Crystal Mill and we reframed it today to be in the wall by the dining area. IT is a 20x30 print, matted to a 24x36 frame.

June 11 - Sunrise at Garden of the Gods

Today I woke at at 5:10 to get ready to meet a friend to photograph sunrise at Garden of the Gods. It was worth it. Getting up that early for a sunrise like this is really refreshing for a photographer's soul! The heavy clouds in the horizon were specially pretty this morning.

June 8 - New bike!

It is summer time and I finally decided to get me a new bike! With the so many miles I put in every summer I think it is worth the upgrade for a bike 13 pounds lighter than my old one!Like if the excitement is not enough, we are going for a bike ride on Saturday...NIGHT!
It is the 16th annual midnight bike ride. It starts at Garden of the Gods at 11:59 PM and ends whenever we end it. There will be a breakfast for the bikers in the end of the ride and the money for the registration goes to maintain the trails. Those 22 miles will be on the streets and the website says there should be about 1500 cyclists on this ride.
I biked Sunday, yesterday, today and will keep doing it to be ready for Saturday night.Yeah, summer!

June 7 - Picture of my picture

I had one of my favorite images printed as 12x24 inches for a color test and I like what I see. I need minor corrections in contrast so the blues don't suffer in the sky and maybe add a little bit of sharpness. Of course, I want to come back there and re-do the picture to make it better the next time:)

June 3 - Spirits

After a day that started at 5:40, a 6 mile walk, a 9 and a half hour day work and attending a photography presentation for 1 and a half hours, I finally went to eat!
I was leaving the restaurant when I saw the sentence on the wall: "May we never be out of spirits", and I thought that summarized a good day. Gotta have spiritis and sense of humour :)

June 1 - Henry stares at me

Henry is very quiet today. He asked for food around his regular time, but then he just laid by the door, enjoying the fresh wind that comes in through the door. I laid down as well, so I could capture a picture on his own level. I love those eyes.
