We went to the Articulation Event, an event where lots of artists display their art and meet new people. I took some pictures of the belly dancers and I really like the motion of this picture, that capture the movement of the dancers.
The moo cards are half the size of a regular business cards, but I can order all images different. I picked 30 images I like and ordered a bunch. Love them!
I hada couple of friends coming for lunch and I tried a recipe of Peruvian food, Causa de Pollo, made of potato and chicken. IT was good for a first time, but I want to try more times.
Fall is finally here. Tonight we had our first snow in fall season. It was cold and night very early today. Big snow, fluffy flakes fell down, accumulating just a little bit.
Today we start week 2 of commit to fit and I lost 2 pounds. Self portraits are hard, specially with low light and no tripod. But that's ok, I know who I am.
I made empada, a first time recipe that turned out wonderful. It is a dough made in the blender, with flower, oil, baking powder, parmesan cheese, milk, and eggs, filled with chicken and heart palms (a wonderful vegetable!).
We went to Denver to visit the library for the first time. I think we spent 4 hours there, probably more. It was warm, with very big windows and nice view to the Veteran's parade outdoors. I want to go again! Lovely day! And we tried a Peruvian restaurant for the first time. Loved it!
Sometimes we just have to accept that not all moments are picture perfect and live with it. At the darkness of the restaurant and with the weight of the camera, this is all I got. A happy blurry snapshot of our lives together, my sweety and me.
The tree I see everyday had company of its own leaves all over the ground this early morning. It was like the fall shadow looked like a real person waving goodbye. Absolutely beautiful. I am grateful for fall.
Leonor and I enrolled in this program called commit to fit. For 8 weeks, we are going to try to commit to new habits that will helps us to be healthier and lose some weight. She took my picture, and I took hers.
We went out for halloween but apparently all the action and parties were yesterday. A few kids were asking for candy downtown, but it was a very quiet night.
I was working on a project of photographing some wood snowman for a couple of hours today and when I finished I did a self portrait, something I don't do very often.
Really early in the morning, as soon as the sun was out, I took this picture. Leaves were falling non stop, a scene that I will remember forever. It was like I was inside a movie, seeing in slow motion.
With the strong winds this week, most trees lost their leaves to the ground, so before it was too late, I've decided to keep fall a little longer. I went outside and took a wicket basket and filled with the fall colors to take them indoors. I know that in a day or they will call curl and dry, but at least I make fall last longer indoors.
Despite my early bad mood, my friend and I went downtown to photograph fall colors before they were gone.I love the red leaves close to her house. We don't get to see red colors as much in Colorado as people do in the east. Just beautiful.I will miss fall.
